True Value News

We are back from Junk Bonanza and exhausted! It was a great time and we will be back again next year.  We were so busy and tired that I didn't take a single picture!  Ugh, I guess you should have come to see it yourself :)

I was excited to meet a fellow member of the True Value Blog Squad, Bungalow 23! It's always so fun to meet people in person and Josh is SO nice in person! Check out his blog for lots of step by step directions on home improvement projects.

In other True Value news, they have chosen the winners of the True Stories contest.  Stop by and see the videos from the three winners! You will be able to follow along with their project progress on the True Value facebook page.

I also wanted to tell you about True Value's "Painting a Bright Future" campaign. For those of you with children in school (or teachers!) it's a really amazing project that True Value sponsors.  Here is some information-

As the economy struggles and education budgets shrink, children all over - many in our own neighborhoods - need our help more than ever to receive the education they deserve in well-maintained environments.
For a school in need, even something as simple as a new coat of paint can energize a dreary classroom, inspire teachers and motivate students.
That's why, in partnership with True Value retailers, the True Value Foundation provides grants for up to 40 gallons of paint through the Painting a Brighter Future program to more than 100 schools each year. Since 2009, we've covered more than 3 million square feet of classrooms with a fresh coat of assistance.

If you know of a school that could use a new coat of paint for a bright future, you can download the application here.

  1. How exciting! I am now following you from the hop and would love a follow back
    Thanks :)

  2. Great to meet you, too! I'm glad you had such a successful Junk Bonanza, Taylor.
