Slimpressions Review

As you guys know I've had three kids in the last three years.  I'm sure you can imagine what that has done to my body! Don't get me wrong, I'm no stranger to shapers, even before I had kids, but it was only for special occasion wear because lets face it they're uncomfortable... or so they used to be.

I found a shaper that is comfortable enough to wear at work, and literally forgot I was wearing it! I'd like to intoduce you to my new friends.

See the first one on the left? It's part of the "Have Not's" collection (which is supposed to mean for less chesty girls, but I'm chesty and I still like this style).  The reason behind the shape, how it goes under the bra, is supposed to be so it doesn't squish the little bit you have.  Personally I think it's just nice that I don't have to worry about any necklines, it can work with a dress and cleavage! My favorite thing about it, and many of the other styles as well, is that it covers not only your mid section, but your full back (an in the sleeve version your arms!).

In the past I've used the tall underwear styles (because the bra ones are always to small for my bra size). The problem that I've experienced with others (besides the fact that I can't breath!) is that they roll.  If you have worn them you know what I mean! They slowly start to roll down  throughout the day, very annoying!

You can see some before and after pictures here (because your crazy if you think I'm going to model it myself LOL).

What I'm loving-
It's breathable, comfortable enough to wear to work which is hard to find in a slimmer.
Available in 4 color options- black, white, brown and nude.
The overall design and under the bra option.
Length, I'm long in the torso but this thing is even longer, it tucks nicely into my pants for a seamless look, no reverse muffin top!
Giggle control for your arms, seriously, what other slimmer controls your arm flab!
Slimpressions are seamless, literally, so there are no lines under your clothing.
I LOVE that when I have to take a bathroom break I don't have to fight with my shaper!!!! Since it's just a top there is nothing to get in the way and you don't have to re-situate.

What I'm not loving-
I wouldn't hate it if it sucked me in just a bit more, but then I probably would be uncomfortable.
After the end of the second day, the bottom did roll a bit under my jeans, like others have done under my bra.  Since I had jeans on you couldn't tell, but if I had had slacks on there would have been a  line there.  This was corrected by folding it under a bit, probably unavoidable with any shaper.

  1. I may have to give those a try...I'm like you and enjoy a little smoothing out but you're right when you say that most of them are really uncomfortable!

  2. Oh how you tempt me! Haha.

  3. Thank you so much for doing this! I have been looking into all kinds of products like these...I had 2 babies within 14 months of each other so I could definitely use the help!!! :)

  4. Humm I might have to try these but it's not in budget right now.

  5. Gah! I keep seeing these and would love to try one. But until someone does a giveaway for me, I'm afraid they're waaay beyond my budget.

I do love the under bust idea - so many do restrict what necklines you can wear.

  6. Hmmm, giving spanx a run for their money! I'll have to try one! Are they online only or in department stores?

  7. Here is the link to the store locator for those of you interested in finding them locally.

  8. Hey Taylor. I just did your peony flower and posted it on my blog and of course linked to you. Thank you!

  9. Thanks for the review. I have a work thing to go to with my husband next month and I might try to hide a little under one of those!

Of course, I have to say that I love that they always use skinny people in their ads! :P

  10. I love the less rolling! I hate to be pulling at my clothes all day!
