Stitchalong and Weekend stuff

Hey guys.  It was a beautiful weekend here in Wisconsin, I think it got up to 70 degrees yesterday so we spent the majority of the day outside.  I put the husband to work on building me a salad table.  I saw it on Martha a LONG time ago and really wanted to try it out.  I have never (successfully) grown anything in my LIFE.  So it should be interesting to see what comes of it.  We planted lettuce, spinach, radish, green beans, broccoli, cucumbers, and strawberries.  Here's a peak at the table.
The strawberries came as plants and the rest are seeds so mostly dirt at the moment.  I didn't have any markers so of course I had to make some!  I had no idea what I was going to use and it occurred to me I had some shirnky dink so I grabbed that, a rubber stamp (from stampin up) and stayz-on ink.  Here is a before and after (the shrinking).
I used a pinking shear to cut the bottom just because I thought it added a cute effect.
If you decide to make your own I fit 4 per sheet and they were about 2 inches by 8 inches before I shrunk them.
I also made some time to finish my stitchalong sampler!  I did run out of the thread I'm using for the grid and border so I have a couple squares that don't have the border on yet but all the little woodland images are finished!
A close up of some squares you hadn't seen yet-
I can't wait to get started on another one.  My next one will be a bit more random but I'm thinking cupcakes, bird cages, tea cups......  There were really some amazing samplers as a result of the stitchalong.  You can check out the flikr group here
