Stitchalong Day 1!

Today is the first day of Inspire Co.'s stitch along and I'm so excited.  I decided since this is my first sampler (and I didn't even know what a sampler is when I found this, just a collage of sorts with embroidered things and findings) I would choose a theme until I get the hang of it.  So I chose the theme of woodland and here's my first square (of 36 I will be stitching).  It's not to late to join if you want to play along!!!!

My little heart could have turned out better, I think I used to many threads for that part.  But I'm loving the process!

  4. That is SO cute! I feel inspired to join in...but I might be a few days behind. A new square everyday might be tough! But since we can see everyone elses each day, then I guess there will be plenty of squares to be inspired by(copy cough cough)
    Thanks!

  6. I'm excited that you guys want to play too. I would love that! Don't worry if your not ready to start today, the thing is 39 days long, I'm only doing 36 so even if you start late there is plenty of time. And if you fall a day behind the squares are only 1 inch by 1 inch so you can do a couple at a time if you like. I'm having a hard time only doing one! I want to keep going!! For inspiration I went to flikr and searched "tiny embroidery", inspire co. also posted a few pics to get us started at 39squares.blogspot.com I had just planned on copying her every day (too funny janimal) and her little bird today was so cute with it's little hat on, then my wheels started turning and we'll see where it takes me.

  9. Holy smokes, that's the cutest thing! I really like it! And a woodland theme is great... I didn't really pick a theme, but my first square is a little mushroom!

  10. what a cutie - i wonder if there's a gnome hiding and lurking and destined to be captured in one of your squares?

  11. Your woodland theme is going to be great. I haven't thought of a theme for mine - but I think it's turning out to be spring-ish.
